If your current stereo receiver does not have a input for a turntable this is your solution. It can also be used with Dynamic or Condenser microphones as well. The BTECH BT26 is our best phono preamp, but is an amazingly inexpensive phono pre-amplifier that adds an excellent phono capability to a line-level pre-amplifier, integrated amp, or receiver. It provides full enjoyment of the sound retrieved from records by a good turntable / moving-magnet cartridge combination. It performance is embarrassingly close to that of units many times it price. The BT-26's external power supply ensures that transformer hum and noise don't intrude on the quality of the signal from a moving magnet cartridge. Instead of using a plastic case as many more expensive outboard phono stages do, the BT26 uses a heavy gauge steel box to house the electronics and avoid any RF contamination from outside influences such as radio stations and computers. Apart from RF contamination, the steel housing also minimizes external hum from nearby power amplifiers. The circuitry offers a gentle infrasonic filter to minimize any rumble emanating from the turntable or record itself.  Extra on-board low-noise regulators further contain any spurious hum.
